You just haven't found the right parts yet. Route 66 in Los Angeles County is so rich in history that I wrote an entire book on the subject, and left out way too much. Next time you are traveling Route 66 in Southern California, pick up my guide book first. Or, better yet, arrange a tour through me. I gaurantee you that the history along the Mother Road here will awe and amaze you.
